Shortbox Comics is an independent comic shop built by collectors, for collectors. What started as a passion for American comics has grown into a trusted hub for readers, collectors and investors across Europe.
We focus on modern and classic U.S. comics, key issues, variants, pre-orders and carefully curated collections. No endless filler, no random stock — just comics we believe in and stand behind.
Built Around Collectors
Shortbox Comics is not a traditional walk-in store. We operate online through our webshop, live sales and community-driven claim systems. This allows us to stay flexible, fast and focused on what collectors actually want.
Our community plays a central role. Through dedicated WhatsApp groups like the Shortbox Claim Club, First Pick Club and Search Club, collectors get early access, first picks and real interaction.
Claim Comics, Stack & Pay Later
One of the core features of Shortbox Comics is our flexible claim system. Customers can claim comics without paying upfront, stack them safely, and receive a monthly invoice.

Pre-orders are handled through our dedicated platform PreorderComics.nl . Each month, collectors choose exactly what they want — no forced subscriptions, no automatic pulls.
This system gives collectors full control while still securing key issues, variants and ongoing series before they sell out.
Buying Comic Collections
We also regularly buy comic collections from private sellers. From small curated stacks to full collections, we offer fair and transparent valuations based on market data and condition.
